About Pen+Principle

Meet Francesca, Founder+CEO

With 17 years of professional experience, Francesca Jarosz Brady's background includes journalism, strategic communications, nonprofit advocacy, and education and workforce issues. Her passion is partnering with teams to help them identify their challenges and opportunities, better understand their audiences, and use a research-based approach to identifying the messages and communications tactics that will move audiences to action.

Prior to starting Pen+Principle, Francesca spent almost nine years at VOX Global, a strategic communications and public affairs firm, where she helped clients translate complex issues into clear and plainspoken messages and positioned ideas to resonate with audiences.

Before VOX, Francesca led policy and communications for The Mind Trust, an Indianapolis-based education nonprofit. She spent the first several years of her professional career as a journalist, with experience at newspapers and magazines in Austin, Chicago, Indianapolis and her hometown of Springfield, Ill. She graduated cum laude from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism.

Outside of work, Francesca loves spending time with her husband and two children, running, and practicing yoga. She’s a proud resident of Indianapolis’ Butler Tarkington neighborhood, a member of the music ministry at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, an alumna of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership series, and a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana.
